The Aware Angel was created to share with those who have illnesses, or other conditions, that cause them to suffer. You can find many online lists of the "official" colors, representing these illnesses and conditions, then use a color of thread in this design to match the appropriate condition. Although awareness ribbons are for "problems," I've added my own designation for one of the best antidotes on earth for all the difficulties of life, which is the love of friends. The color I chose is gold...a perfect word to describe those in our "Bestie/BFF" category.

The angel design is "free-standing lace" and requires water soluble stabilizer. Just stitch the angel (and it's a quickie), then soak the angel in water for a minute or two and the excess stabilizer dissolves away. I like to give the angels to each member of the immediate family so they all keep their connection when apart from each other and also as a reminder to pray for their loved one.

The fabric Key Chain Zipper Pocket is completed 100% In the Hoop. Depending on the fabrics used, the gift becomes more beautiful and/or more charming. The little angel pocket, on the front, is the icing on the cake. I'm sure when you give these little angels to people in need, their hearts will be uplifted when they see the little angel smartly tucked into the little pocket.
